CHAK stands for “together, jointly” in the language of the Mapuche Indians, the native inhabitants of Chile. CHAK is my inspiration and highest goal: to bring together in harmony the Bordeaux-type elegance and the Chilean natural power.
2021 was a typical year for Chile: hot days and comfortable nights, delightfully cooled by the fresh evening breeze from the nearby Pacific Ocean; resulting in the perfect ripening of our healthy grapes.
Native in Chile, our Carménère grapes come from a vineyard in the neighbouring community of Placilla, the very heart of the Colchagua Valley. The self-rooted, over 20-year old vines, blessed by a perfect climate and ideal terroir, unfold here the full range of fragrancies.
